From gospel beginnings to stages around the world, Tommy has built a life around music, connection, and bringing people together.
Born and raised in Iowa, Tommy began singing as a childhood gospel soloist. He went on to become an accomplished vocalist, musician, and premier performer with an acclaimed five-octave range.
Across more than 35 years, his work has taken him around the world with orchestras, big bands, jazz and blues groups, Motown show bands, and pop, country, and rock ensembles. The result is a repertoire with remarkable breadth—and a performer who knows how to read a room.
Friends and family also know him as “Clay,” a name he embraced after being reunited with his birth family. Today, Tommy brings that same warmth to live performances and to the wedding and anniversary ceremonies he officiates.
